We recognise the skepticism that surrounds new political movements today especially here in the NT\u2014a skepticism born from repeated disappointments, from years where cronyism<\/strong>, nepotism<\/strong>, corruption<\/strong>, and collusion<\/strong> have undermined NT public trust. Both main political parties have been GUILTY of this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reality is stark: both the CLP and the ALP have regularly formed an unofficial Alliance, circled the wagons if you like, so that we, the NT public, are left in the dark. Uninformed. Wishing we had decent people working to serve us – they are supposed to be PUBLIC SERVANTS remember! – and honest politicians, who told us the truth and didn’t cover stuff up to protect them<\/strong>, their mates and\/or their families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This latest cover up<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

from the current Attorney General Marie-Clare Boothby, lying by omission we call it as she declined to inform the media and the public of her family connection to a recently convicted killer should serve as a warning that more are to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This obscenely racist <\/strong>young man called Jake Danby killed one Aboriginal man and injured another while he was speeding and drove off without stopping to help. He has direct family connections to the current NT Attorney General Marie-Clare Boothby who neglected to inform anyone of this fact while speaking about him yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to court documents seen by award winning media outlet NT Independent<\/a> Jake Danby called those 2 Aboriginal men “niggers<\/strong>” in text messages. He called them “oxygen thieves<\/strong>“. He called them “dogs<\/strong>“. He celebrated hitting them with his car and arrogantly informed his text friend: \u201cI\u2019m a Danby, we don\u2019t go to jail.<\/strong>\u201d \u201cIt\u2019s amazing how much lawyers fight for you like it\u2019s life and death when you know you can pay whatever fee they pull out of their ass.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was right about one thing: he didn’t go to jail. Thanks to a very NT Government friendly ex-Government lawyer\/Solicitor For the Northern Territory (SFNT) called Sonia Brownhill. Not yet at least.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Change <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

does not come easily nor quickly. It demands commitment and measurable action. That is why <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Change For Better <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

begins with a clear foundation, a foundation you can test with your own eyes. You don’t have to believe anyone’s slimy words when trying to get elected, just research our founder’s background. A multiple times whistleblower founder. Someone who has repeatedly done the right thing in the face of adversity and at great personal cost: integrity<\/strong>, honesty<\/strong>, openness<\/strong>, and bravery<\/strong> are his calling cards. Change For Better Party wholly rejects t the pervasive dishonesty<\/strong>, deceit<\/strong>, and fraudulence<\/strong> that have enabled corruptibility<\/strong> and unethical<\/strong> conduct to thrive time and time again here in the Northern Territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No lying or cover ups from us, no way.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honesty<\/strong>, transparency<\/strong>, accountability<\/strong>, and justice<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

is our promise to you, in a governance model grounded in those ideals. But more importantly, these are principles we will demonstrate through concrete measures: rigorous oversight<\/strong>, regular audit<\/strong>, systematic scrutiny<\/strong>, and diligent verification<\/strong>. Public officials must be held to the highest levels of responsibility<\/strong>, answerability<\/strong>, and liability<\/strong>. And if they fail, then they are of no use to us except as an example to everyone else that, when we sack them for their failures, you will all know that we are serious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This movement does not promise overnight success but it does offer an unyielding commitment to dismantle favoritism-driven<\/strong> practices, CLPALP Alliance style cronyism<\/strong> and complicity<\/strong> wherever they exist. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The values of responsibility<\/strong>, public trust<\/strong>, and respect for rights<\/strong> and redress<\/strong> guide us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To the media, the gatekeepers of public discourse, we extend an invitation\u2014not just to report, but to engage, question, and hold us accountable. Scrutinise our progress, verify our claims, and demand evidence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is the transparency we welcome<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We won’t lie to you like Marie-Clare Boothby regularly does. We won’t cheat and game the system. We won’t hide information from the public. We won’t employ our mates just because they’re our mates, as the CLPALP Alliance does. We won’t be hypocrites by demanding ‘tough on crime’ punishments for Aboriginal 10 year olds but staying silent on it when it concerns one of our family members, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHO KILLED SOMEONE IN A HIT A RUN.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We do things differently because we have a proven track record of trust,<\/strong> courage<\/strong> and demanding accountability<\/strong> from all of our Public Servants whether they be Human Resources or the Chief Minister. We don’t care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
